June 8-18, 2023 Trout Opener at ATA Lodge

Well the 2023 season started with a bang!  What a great opener we have had this year.  June is arguably my personal most favorite time to be at ATA Lodge!     The flight in, guests were able to see moose on their approach, just before landing on the airstrip at ATA Lodge.  And the very next morning, we even saw our first Bear of the season from the property before hitting the water!  Despite the wind and cold, everyone had high hopes for the days of fishing ahead.   It’s been a late spring and the weather was cold and blustery for most of our long opening week.  The mountains on the horizon were full of snow, and the...

ATA Lodge, on the Alagnak Wild River of Bristol Bay - July 2021 Fishing Report

ATA Lodge has been having a fantastic season this year.  What a comeback after the chaos of Covid last season!   We have been so busy with the best guests ever and a lot of great fish being caught!    As June closed the trout fishing remained strong, with so many big trout being caught and released!  We have lost count of the trout over 24" with many over 28" and the biggest taping out at 31"inches long!!! By the 1st of July we were marking Sockeye in the river.  Little did we know what was about to transpire!  This year saw over 64 million Sockeye Salmon return the watersheds of Bristol Bay.  This year's run shattered all existing records,...

ATA Lodge is Hiring Guides for the 2021 Season on the Alagnak River of Bristol Bay, Alaska

Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge is looking to hire qualified and motivated individuals to guide this season. The lodge consists of 160 acres of private property on the Wild and scenic Alagnak river in Bristol Bay, Southwest Alaska. The river is well known for its record runs of all 5 species of Pacific salmon but also is home to resident fish such as rainbow trout, lake trout, arctic grayling, arctic char, and dolly varden.
